Local Scholarship Opportunities
Scholarship information and deadlines are updated as we receive these details from the various local scholarship organizations/business/committees.
The OHS Scholarship committee will award Lester Ludens Scholarships, and any other potentially new local scholarship opportunity that arises throughout any given year. To assist the committee in making their selections, they ask that all seniors complete the following application and turn it into Mrs. Stielow by April 19, 2024.

Adell Cooperative Scholarship
Amount: (3) $1,000
Criteria: Applicant must be a graduating high school senior intent on pursuing an interest in agriculture at a short course, technical school or college.

Ab Nicholas Scholarship Foundation
Amount: Each year up to 60 scholarships will be awarded — $10,000 for a student in a 4-year program and $5,000 for a student in a 2-year program.
Criteria: By maintaining a cumulative grade point average greater than 2.0, scholarships can be renewed annually for the length of the program, for a total award of $40,000 or $10,000, respectively. The scholarship is open to any Wisconsin high school senior participating in his or her high school basketball program as either a player or manager who plans on applying to a UW System school.

Criteria: Two scholarships of $1000 may be awarded annually for use at any school with an FAA approved program. Students in Sheboygan County school districts are invited to apply for these scholarships which will be awarded based on high school performance, written recommendations and extra-curricular activities as well as an interest in aviation.

Chuck Zorn Memorial Scholarship - National Wild Turkey Federation Northern Kettles Chapter (NWTF)

Country Vision Cooperative Scholarship
Amount: $1,000 (33)
Criteria: The 2022 graduating high school senior must be enrolled for the upcoming school year in an undergraduate degree program by an accredited college or university, or planning to attend a vocational or technical school.
• The parents, parent, or legal guardian of the student must be a member of Country Visions Cooperative or CP Feeds, LLC and have purchased at least $2000 worth of goods and services in the year prior to application from Country Visions, CP Feeds or the former CHS Larsen Cooperative. (One of the scholarships will be awarded as an Employee Scholarship. Student employees, or children of employees, are eligible for this scholarship without meeting the purchase requirement, but still must meet the other eligibility requirements. They must be an employee of Country Visions Cooperative or CP Feeds at the time the application is submitted.) A student may qualify for the employee scholarship and the Country Visions/CP Feeds scholarship, but only 1 scholarship will be awarded per student.

Criteria: Qualified applicants must live in Compeer Financials’ 144-county territory and have a 3.0 GPA or higher. Recipients will be selected based on academic achievement, agricultural and community organization involvement and essays.

Cousins Subs Driven at the Heart Scholarship (Wisconsin)
Amount: Up to$7,500
Criteria: Must be a second semester senior. Must have participated in a WIAA sanctioned sport during his/her high school career.
Must have a cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 3.5 (on a 4.0 scale). Grades earned through the most recently completed grading period should be used. Must be involved with civic or community organization(s) or activities during his/her high school career (grades 9-12). Must be available to attend the Wisconsin Athletic Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on April 20, 2024. If the ceremony does not take place, Cousins Subs, Inc. will coordinate an alternative event for winners and their family at a date and location yet to be determined. Must be a college bound student. The educational institution must be accredited, either by the Accrediting Council of Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS), or by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

Sheboygan County Wisconsin Farm Technology/Farm Progress Days Scholarship
Amount: Two or more scholarships may be awarded by the Wisconsin Farm Technology/Farm Progress Days - Sheboygan County Scholarship Trust Fund, depending on the funds available.
Criteria:
+ Applicants must be enrolled in post high school agriculture related training, long or short course, from a University of Wisconsin System (Platteville, Madison or River Falls) institution. (Areas of study may include: Agricultural Journalism, Agronomy, Bacteriology, Biochemistry, Dairy Science/Herd Management, Environmental Sciences, Food Industry, Genetics, Horticulture/Landscape Architecture and any other Agriculture Related Field of Study.) The legal agreement with the UW-Foundation states the recipient must be enrolling in a UW system school (and specifically an agricultural program)
+ Candidates for this scholarship must be a Sheboygan County resident.

Sheboygan River Progressive Farmers Scholarship

Criteria: SRPF is offering $1000 scholarship(s) to graduating high school seniors and current college students who will be enrolled in a two-year technical school or four-year college during the upcoming academic year. Applicant must be pursuing an agriculture related or environmental science related degree. Scholarship money will be dispensed after proof of enrollment in second semester is provided and will be paid directly to the college.

Criteria: The UnitedOne Scholarship is open to any member in good standing of UnitedOne Credit Union who will be pursuing an advanced education in the fall of 2024.
